Noise Control 3D is an educational computer modeling program developed (in C language and Win32 API) by Michael Salameh. The software topics are found in academic courses.
It helps college students understand room acoustics and noise control in buildings.
The software includes the concepts and calculations of: Reverberation Time (RT), Reverberant/Direct Sound, Sound Transmission Class (STC) and Composite
STC, Noise Criterion (NC), Balanced Noise Criterion, dB and dBA. The NC calculation uses transmission losses of the room boundaries and noise levels in adjacent rooms.
The software is free and includes only one NoiseControl3D.exe file that can be downloaded here. The file is a standalone program that runs without installation, setup or any computer modification. The file size of the current version is 208 k. Update information is listed in NoiseControl3D.pdf file that can be downloaded here (size 1.5 k). To uninstall the software simply delete the file.
